Netball Tasmania is pleased to announce that Mitch Coulson will be joining the Netball Tasmania team as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) from Monday 7th March 2022. Mitch is a highly experienced and respected senior leader in the sports industry, his most recent role being the General Manager – Consumer Business at the St Kilda Football Club.
Mitch played an integral part in boosting the commercial performance of the business with membership growing by more than 70% during his tenure. In addition to membership, Mitch’s remit also included ticketing and attendance, fan engagement, retail and fundraising. Having served on the executive team at the Saints and successfully led a critical portfolio through the challenges of Covid-19, Mitch brings a high level of expertise in stakeholder engagement and strategy development. He is experienced in building strong working relationship across community sport and local government to ensure participants, parents, volunteers and officials are all highly engaged through their sporting participation.
Mitch also established strong connections outside of the traditional football network and led the formation of a mutually beneficial partnership with the Victorian Netball League’s Southern Saints. Mitch’s experience and achievements in senior management and leadership roles extends over several years with St Kilda, Playcorp and Geelong Cats. Mitch will be a great addition to the Netball Tasmania team and we look forward to welcoming him.
