The Netball Tasmania board comprises of 5 elected board members and up to 2 appointed board members. 

The nominations process will be communicated annually prior to the AGM which usually occur in May.

Board Members

Jacqui has a diverse array of career experience including management roles at ANZ Bank and as a Director at Bay of Fires Pacific Oyters.

A self confessed netball tragic Jacqui has a genuine interest and passion in all facets of sport.

Jacqui has been involved at all levels of the game and has invested her time and energy across roles as St Helens Netball Association President (2017-2019) and as a B badge level umpire. Jacqui’s contribution to the sport was recognised by her local association when she was awarded a life membership at St Helen’s Netball Association.

Stephanie Collins is a commercial lawyer who has worked in a variety of private practice and in-house legal roles.

She moved back to Tasmania a few years ago and took up a role in the Department of Health as the Executive Manager – Legal Services. She is currently the Deputy General Counsel at TasWater, managing the Legal Services and Governance areas and assisting the General Council with company secretarial work.

She has experience in a wide range of commercial legal areas, including commercial contracts, litigation, and corporate and regulatory advice. She also has a background and interest in general corporate governance and compliance. She has a love of sport and has played netball all her life, until recently retiring.

She is proud to give back to the sport she loves and be part of the Board of Netball Tasmania to drive strategy, compliance, and general governance.

Mel started playing netball at under 11 level for KNA and then progressed through Club netball with Kingston Blues. 

Mel has held professional roles with state and national sporting organisations (Netball Tasmania, Bowls Australia and Cricket Australia) across administration, volunteer management, events and entry level program delivery. 

Currently the Club Events Manager for RACV Club, Mel is responsible for Member acquisition, activation, engagement and retention

A community Pharmacist registered for 29 years, a business partner in 3 pharmacies and a business owner for 27 years. Rhys has a strong background in sports administration being a life member at Launceston Soccer and Sports club where he has served in a wide range of roles including president. 

Rhys has played soccer at a state league level and coached both junior and senior teams. Rhys’ daughter is a passionate Netballer and who has recently represented Tasmania at a state level. 

Rhys brings a wealth of experience and a sound understanding of good governance to the Netball Tasmania board.

Steve is a highly experienced finance professional with over 20 years' experience in several senior finance and executive roles. Steve is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Tilt Renewables, one of the leading renewable energy companies in Australia.

Having spent numerous years on the sidelines as a netball dad watched and supporting his daughter from Under 11s through to TNL and State Representation Steve is looking forward to contributing to the game of netball in Tasmania.

Angela has enjoyed a 35 year career in Tasmanian State Service in senior management roles with a focus on compliance and information governance.
Angela is a life member,  past president and committee member of Kingborough Netball Association, and she continues to be a netball supporter regularly attending games at STNA, supporting both her daughter and grand-daughter who play for South East Suns as well as Kingston Blues teams.
Recently retired, Angela looks forward to again continuing her relationship with Netball as a board member at NT. 

Amanda Slater is currently the Chief People Officer at Forico Pty Limited. Amanda has spent 20 plus years developing her skills in the People, Culture, Safety and Human Resources sectors. Her people management skills, strategic thinking and reputation as an ethical leader add diversity to the Netball Tasmania Board’s capabilities.

Amanda has had involvement in netball in northern Tasmania, both as a current player and also with her 2 daughters playing over recent years. 

Amanda is currently fulfilling a casual role on the Netball Tasmania board.
