“We’re excited to launch the inaugural All Stars Cup and take the best of our Hospital Research Foundation Group Premier League competition to Tasmania to showcase what South Australian netball has to offer,” Netball SA CEO Bronwyn Klei said.
“This is another opportunity to strengthen both of our netball programs, and I have no doubt it will be an exciting weekend of competition.
“It also increases exposure for our Adelaide Thunderbirds brand in a Tasmanian market that is incredibly passionate about its netball.”
Delivered as part of the MOU between Netball Tasmania and Netball South Australia/Adelaide Thunderbirds, teams will be selected from the current Premier Leagues in each location.
Tasmania’s team will be chosen following the same selection process as the Tasmanian Netball League (TNL) All-Star team presented at each year’s Annual Awards night. Coaches of the 7 TNL clubs have been asked to vote on their top players for each position on the court.
Netball Tasmania and Netball South Australia would like to thank the Tasmanian Government for the generous support in hosting the All-Stars Cup.
