The Netball Tasmania Endorsed School Program brings high-quality netball coaching into the school day. Through partnerships with Tasmanian colleges, including Guilford Young College and St Patrick’s College, students can build their skills, fitness and game knowledge alongside their studies. The program is designed to grow netball in schools and the wider community.
What the program offers
Students take part in structured, coach-led sessions that develop skills on and off the court. Depending on the school, this includes weekly on-court training, strength and conditioning, and theory sessions focused on athlete performance. Students also learn what it takes to train at the next level, from preparation and punctuality to a positive attitude toward learning.
The program is open to students of all abilities, regardless of playing background or experience. Whether you are picking up a ball for the first time or playing club netball every weekend, there is a place for you.
Experienced coaching
Sessions are led by experienced coaches who bring a wealth of knowledge and a high level of coaching expertise to the school setting. For many students, this is an opportunity they may not otherwise have through club netball. Coaches have seen strong engagement, enthusiasm and a real willingness to improve from participants.
A program that works for schools
Our school partners value the program as a way to offer specialised, high-level athlete development within the school environment. It sits alongside traditional academic and practical learning pathways, giving students a positive learning experience as part of their college week.
