Day five of the NNC's presented a couple of tough matches for Team Tasmania.
In the 17&U's final match of the rostered matches, they came up against second on the ladder Victoria. Turning up to play, the 17&U's challenged VIC in the first half, eventually going down by 10, 38-28. The She Sherriff twin, Isabella and Sophie looked powerful in goals and centre court, and captain Grace Ebbelaar in was dominant in defence.
Coming off a strong win against the Northern Territory in round 6, the 19&U's went into their clash against New South Wales all guns blazing. The centre court of Asha Lowe, Matilda Franklin and Abbey Geappen created opportunities left and right for the team. Unfortunately, in the end NSW were victorious, 52-28.
Finals
Team Tasmania will face off against the ACT and South Australia in the 17&U's and 19&U's respectively.
The 17&U's finished in 6th spot and will meet ACT. The team will go into the match up with confidence after a huge win of QLD in round 6. Their match will take place at 11.30am tomorrow.
The 19&U's will face SA tomorrow at 12.45pm. The team finished in 7th place, behind SA by just 2 points. With confidence building throughout the Championship's, it is expected to be a cracker of a match.
