TNL Round 15 Recap

Round 15 kicked off the final block of matches in the 2025 home and away season. The teams have saved the best till last, with our closest matches this season taking place across the board.
The Cavaliers and Cripps started the weekend off with a nail biter in the U19's. Cripps have been solid all season and were going in confident to the match up with the Cav's who were looking for only their 4th win of the season. After streaming away in the first quarter, Cripps couldn't maintain their lead. With the home court advantage on their side, the Cavaliers took it down to the wire, scoring the last 2 goals of the match to win by 1. The Opens ladder leaders, the Cav's managed to lock in their 13th win of the season building their lead quarter by quarter to eventually lock in a 24-goal win. Our Opens Hot Shot of the round is Hayley McDougall. Hayley takes out the honour for the 6th time this season, shooting 32 in the weeks clash.
Hawks v Kingston was up next. 1 v 2 in both the U19's and the Opens, it was a must win for all involved. The Kingston U19's were looking to go a game clear of Devon in 2nd place and put an end to the Hawks undefeated season. On the day the Hawks demonstrated why they are sitting at the top, taking the win 56-45. The U19 Hot Shot of the round is Sophie Sherriff for her 33 goal haul from 35 shots. It's been even in the previous two meetings of these teams this season. This was a must win game for each team to still have a chance of locking in2nd on the ladder and getting the double chance come finals. A first quarter lead of 3 to Kingston ended up winning them the game, with Hawks outscoring them by 1 in the next three quarters. This was our match up of the round, congratulations to Chloe Litherland for being awarded the 2XU Player of the match.
Suns headed to Ulverstone this week to take on Devon. In the U19's a high scoring 2nd quarter set the scene for a big win for Devo, 75-26. A special mention to Devon GA Shukuya Broomhall, who shot 33 goals from 42 attempts. Suns Opens continue to close the gap to the top teams. Devon took the win 43-39.
