As our 19&U TNL team preview series comes to a close, we turn our attention to a group going into the 2026 season with unfinished business, Cripps 19Us.
Cripps 19Us will be looking to go one better in 2026 after finishing the year strong as Runners Up in 2025. Last year’s Grand Final appearance has fuelled belief within the group, and there is a strong foundation to build from.
“This group have a great understanding and connection on and off the court and look to have balance across all areas of the court with 7 returning players, 2 first year club players and 1 returning player after a year away.”
That balance is evident across the court. In defence, Cripps will look to their speed and athleticism to generate turnover ball.
“In Defence Abbie Fooks, Alet Le Grange and Ruby Rigney all have speed, athleticism and determination to turnover plenty of ball in the back end.”
Through the midcourt, the returning core will aim to build on their TNL experience and continue to drive the team both ways.
“In the midcourt returning players Ivy Bresnehan, Ruby Kaye, Holly Richardson along with Violet Bennett look to build on their first year in TNL last year and will work hard both ways to create opportunities for the team.”
“In Goals Ruby Clark and Alice Bowering both provide strong targets in the circle and will be joined by Isla Thomas who offers beautiful timing and movement.”
There is also healthy competition within the squad, with a young talent eager to make her mark. With belief, connection and depth across all areas of the court, the group is excited about what lies ahead.
“The girls are committed and excited to see what they can achieve together this year and I'm sure will have fun along the way.”
After going so close in 2025, Cripps 19Us enter the 2026 season determined to take the next step.
