After three rounds of the action, and six matches, the Tasmanian side has suffered just one loss in their opening match against Western Sting.
Round 4 will see the team will take on third placed Netball NSW Waratahs this weekend in Sydney.
The team will see one change to the side this weekend, with Northern Hawks player Danni Pickett returning to the side after being sidelined due to injury the past two weeks.
Pickett is excited to be returning to the squad this weekend and is looking forward to the challenge of facing the NSW side.
“The girls have shown so far that when we stick our game plan for a consistent four quarters the result will take care of itself”
“For us it’s about having multiple workloads and options in attack and not to put ourselves under unnecessary pressure. In defense we will need to have a crack at everything and play to one of your biggest strength which is one on one defense.”
“When we focus on those things and we connect with each other over the whole court, we are a real threat to any team” she said.
This weekend will mark the half way mark of the regular fixture, with the ANL structure currently fixture to an eight week roster. The Tasmanian Magpies will play two matches at home in round 5 at the Silverdome in Launceston.
