Round 2 will see the Tasmanian Magpies take on a win-less Southern Force, who were dealt two losses against the Canberra Giants.
Danni Pickett is the only change for the squad, having been ruled out due to injury.
Coming off a strong performance in the second match of the weekend, the team will be looking to continue the momentum into the round 2 matches.
“We will be looking to continue the performance from Sunday’s game and build team balance and consistency, and improve where we left off” Assistant Coach Claire Dennis said.
“Looking ahead to this weekend, we’re hoping to get the two wins which always helps with the confidence amongst the group”
Last season the two teams met in Round 4 at the Silverdome in Launceston. Force got the better of them on day one by six goals, but the Magpies pipped them by one in a close one on day 2. With the Force hungry for a win, it’s bound to be a great match.
The squad will depart this afternoon, with their first match tomorrow afternoon at 5pm and the second match 11am Sunday morning. Both games will be played at the State Netball and Hockey Centre in Melbourne.
