A record five athletes have been selected to attend the Australian Netball Pathway Camps this year, the most Tasmanians ever selected in a single intake.
Three athletes have been selected for the 17U camp, Amber Brown, Macie Petterwood and Ruby Kaye and two athletes for the 19U camp, Isabella Sherriff and Grace Ebbelaar.
"To have five Tasmanian athletes selected for the Australian pathway camps in the one year is a fantastic reflection of the work being done across our state through to our pathway programs. Amber, Macie, Ruby, Isabella and Grace should be incredibly proud of this achievement, and it's a great sign for the future of netball in Tasmania." Penny Shearer, Netball Tasmania CEO
The selections recognise the strength and depth of Tasmania's talent pathway, with all five athletes earning their place among the best young players in the country.
The Australian pathway camps bring together the country's top emerging talent for high-performance training and development, forming part of the pipeline toward state and national representative honours.
Netball Tasmania congratulates Amber, Macie, Ruby, Isabella and Grace on this outstanding achievement and looks forward to following their progress at camp.
