For more than a decade, Liz Banks served as President and Chair of Netball Tasmania, guiding our sport with unwavering commitment and professionalism.
Liz championed strong governance, developing a new Constitution in partnership with Member's and oversaw the dissolution of the long- standing State League Commission. Under Liz's leadership the Netball Tasmania Board grew in both members and expertise.
Not without challenge, Liz also navigated the impact of COVID-19 on our sport and community. Liz was instrumental in ensuring our sport survived the pandemic, establishing appropriate systems and mechanisms that saw our sport as one of the first in Tasmania to return to competition.
