Netball Tasmania is the peak sporting body for netball in Tasmania and is responsible for the management and development of the sport across the state.
Netball Tasmania’s core functions are to identify and meet the needs of athletes, coaches, umpires, administrators, associations, and clubs; to develop opportunities to attract more people to be involved in the sport; and manage an effective high performance pathway for athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers.
The Chief Executive Officer plays a pivotal role in leading and developing the sport of netball in Tasmania. The role is responsible for driving the strategic outcomes of the business as well as the day-to-day operational aspects of the business including managing staff, dealing with a range of stakeholders, innovative sport development, oversight of all financial matters, and delivery of commercial outcomes.
The Chief Executive Officer reports to the President of Netball Tasmania through the Netball Tasmania Board. The appointed candidate will have a sound working knowledge of governance and financial management and as Netball Tasmania is a member-based organisation, there will be clear expectations around managing this diverse stakeholder group.
The Chief Executive Officer of Netball Tasmania needs to clearly demonstrate both the personal and commercial capabilities and attributes required of the role. In order to continue to grow netball in Tasmania (via traditional and non-traditional versions of the game/products), the candidate will need to clearly articulate experience in developing and implementing financially viable commercial opportunities.
If you are currently a Chief Executive Officer, or have relevant experience in senior management and you have the passion and aspiration to play a lead role in developing netball in Tasmania, this role may be your next career challenge. Whilst experience across the sporting industry is desirable, applications from outside the industry will be considered.
An executive level remuneration package will be available to the successful candidate, negotiable depending upon skill level and experiences. At the time of applying, candidates are invited to indicate their current salary and salary expectations.
