Name our Tassie Suncorp Super Netball team
Netball Tasmania is asking Tasmanians to help name the team it hopes will be included in the Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) competition.
Netball Tasmania is applying for a licence to compete in the competition.
CEO Aaron Pidgeon said the organisation believed an SSN team was a fantastic opportunity for the Tasmanian community.
“If approved, the new Club will provide local jobs, new entertainment product, a boost to local participation and strong role models in the community inspiring young Tasmanians,” he said.
Mr Pidgeon said ideally, he would like to include about six names in the submission for consideration.
“We are looking for names that are distinctly Tasmanian (though we are open to all suggestions) and that represent a team of united and fierce females,” he said.
