"It's fantastic for Tassie Netball that the Wild is returning to National level competition as it provides another opportunity and direction for all our aspiring players"
"We have selected an exciting mix of players from around the state, and it will be great to now get together over the next 4 weeks for a short but highly focused preparation and see what we can achieve"
As one of the younger members of the Wild team, Mackenzie Graves is keen to get stuck in and learn as much as she can from her teammates.
“I am incredibly excited and honoured to have been selected for the Wild team. As one of the younger members, I am privileged to learn from my older and more experienced teammates, taking in all their leadership and knowledge. I hope that as I continue with my netball journey, I can then be an experienced and supportive teammate like them. Wild will be a great opportunity to gain exposure to higher-level netball and improve my skill set. Overall, this experience will enable me to reach my goals and continue to work through the state pathway.”
Returning player Gemma Collyer is honoured to be back in the Wild uniform after the break in 2024.
"Being part of the inaugural Wild team was a big opportunity I was and still am grateful for. I am grateful and excited to return and represent the state again, alongside a strong blend of experience and rising talent."
The Super Netball Reserves (SNR) Finals weekend will see all state based and Super Netball affiliated teams compete in three sessions for fans to attend. The 2025 Super Netball Reserves champion will be crowned at the end of the weekend in a Grand Final match. Ahead of the finals weekend, the Tasmania Wild, Capital Darters (ACT), and Territory Storm (NT) will compete in the Play-In Tournament to determine seeding ahead of the SNR Finals weekend, playing against each other once across three days.
Tasmania Wild will be back on the court for the first time since 2023 in a week’s time, taking on the Tasmanian Mens State Team, the Titans, in an exhibition match. This is an incredible opportunity to see the Wild in action on home ground before they head to Victoria.
