One of Netball Tasmania’s key focus going forward is to invest in first class opportunities that will develop our young athletes and provide clear pathways for them to push themselves to surpass their performance goals.
We are so excited to announce an incredible opportunity for our Tasmania Wild team to visit Victoria for a weekend packed full of experiences with some of our sports best and brightest. The VIC Wild Camp will take place over the June long weekend, from Friday 7th of June to Monday 10th.
Throughout the camp our Wild athletes will have the opportunity to learn from the best and be exposed to various training styles and high-performance programs through training match vs. the Vixens Reserves; a tour of the State Netball Centre hosted by Netball Victoria; a training match vs Hawks VNL team; and attending the Vixens v Mavericks SSN match.
The VIC Wild Camp will provide unmatched opportunity to our athletes and will provide an environment to develop lasting relationships and reaffirm their passion for the sport.
Head High Performance Coach, Jon Fletcher, believes this is an invaluable opportunity for players:
“The opportunity to experience a higher standard of opposition and different styles of play will be invaluable to the ongoing development of our talented emerging players, something that is not always readily available in their home training environment.
Our High-Performance programs are continuously seeking challenges that stretch our players to the next level, this weekend will provide another great block of learning, individual and team development for all involved.”
