The oldest sporting league in Tasmania is poised to move into the future in partnership with one of Australia’s major financial institutions.
Julia Phillips, Netball Tasmania General Manager said: “this exciting new partnership builds on the significant investment that ANZ has made to netball through the ANZ Championship and ANZ NetSetGO!, and will provide wonderful support to the netball community in Tasmania.”
Katrina Pedersen, ANZ District Manager, Northern Tasmania is excited about the opportunities ahead for netball.
“Netball has become the most popular women’s sport in Australia, attracting the newest enthusiast’s right through to the top players of the ANZ Championship.”
“This has led us to expanding our support of netball across the community as principal partner of ANZ NetSetGO!, the only grassroots netball program in Australia. Together with this latest sponsorship of the Tasmanian State League, it demonstrates the depth of our commitment to supporting netball at all levels and towards fostering the next generation of players,” Ms Pedersen said.
Ms Phillips paid tribute to the 15 years of sponsorship provided by Aurora Energy, which enabled Netball Tasmania to develop and promote the League so successfully.
“We have been extremely grateful to Aurora Energy for its wonderful support for so many years,” she said, “and look forward to building on that with many new and exciting opportunities in partnership with ANZ.”
