QUARTER 1: 10-13
A goal for goal start for the first 10 minutes of the quarter saw some fast transition down the court. The centre pass defence of Ellie Marshall, Shelby Miller and Hannah Lenthall forced the Darters to re-think their approach. Ash Probert-Hill had some early tips and intercepts which created turnovers. A three goal run before some missed opportunities late in the quarter see us go in with a 3 goal deficit.
QUARTER 2: 21-27
Ash Turner replaces Jess Earney to start the quarter and Tasmania quickly levels the score with a run of 3 goals. 9 turnovers for the quarter saw some opportunities created. Lenthall rotated off with 5 minutes to go with Gemma Collyer entering the game with an immediate intercept. Earney rolled back on for Turner late and the Darters managed to string some goals together for Team Tas to go into half time with a 6 goal deficit A 11 - 14 quarter.
QUARTER 3: 31-40
Miller and Probert-Hill switch bibs for the start of the quarter and Lenthall comes back on at WD. Tassie score the first three goals of the quarter with some smart play all over the court. Macy Goninon enters the game at C with Probert-Hill having a rest. A 10-13 quarter.
QUARTER 4: 42-48
Turner returns to GA and Probert-Hill to the middle to start the quarter. Another 3 goal run to start the quarter taking their opportunities to convert. Alex Vinen and Collyer were dogged in defence. Miller continued to hit the circle edge, with Grace Pullen coming onto GS to change up the circle. Goninon re-entered the game at C to run out the match. The team fought to the end winning the quarter. A 11-8 quarter.
We finish off the campaign Sunday 28th with a re-match against the Darters at 8:30am.
