Quarter 1: 10-14
Full court pressure across the whole court created a number of turnovers. Patience and reset opportunities allowed good decision making into the circle with both Hayley McDougall and Jess Earney converting. Shelby Miller & Ash Probert-Hill continued to find space and drive to the circle. The defence of Hannah Lenthall, Gemma Collyer and Alex Vinen took their opportunities as did Maddi Hay when she came on. Ash Turner took the court late in the first quarter.
Quarter 2: 25-28
Tasmania continued to find space and used the corridor well. McDougall and Turner worked cohesively in the circle converting every opportunity. Miller was a work horse in the middle with good support from her wings in Probert-Hill and Lenthall. Vinen's move out to GD provided dividends with Hay a solid support behind her. Grace Pullen was injected into WA late in the quarter, which Tas went on to win 15-14.
Quarter 3: 36-42
Tassie remained strong throughout the third quarter. Ellie Marshall came on early at WD, which saw Lenthall move to GD, Vinen back to GK and Hay taking a well-earned break. The attack end of Miller, Probert-Hill, Turner and McDougall continued to take their opportunities. Earney returned to the game late in the quarter to give Turner a rest. An 11 - 14 quarter.
Quarter 4: 45-62
Turner returned to start the fourth quarter at GA. Macy Goninon entered the game at C part way through the quarter with Miller going to WA and Probert-Hill rotating off. Marshall, Lenthall & Vinen continued to work hard and contest in defence. Grace Pullen came onto GS towards the end of the quarter. A 9-20 quarter, but lots of positives to take away and build on.
