QUARTER :1 5-18
Grace Pullen was rewarded with a starting 7 at WA. Alex Vinen continued on with her strong form with 2 rebounds and 2 intercepts to start the quarter and Tassie scored the first two goals Jess Earney came on for Ash Turner and Ash Probert-Hill entered the game at WA with Pullen rotating off. Shelby Miller continues to work hard in the middle. Hannah Lenthall and Vinen are working hard in defence and taking their opportunities when they arise.
QUARTER 2: 14-29
Macy Gonion starts in the C with Miller moving to WA. Gemma Collyer moves into GD and had an immediate impact. Hayley McDougall was rolled off and Pullen re-enters the game at GS. Turner and Probert-Hill come back on with a double sub at GA and C respectively half way through the quarter. We created 9 turnovers throughout the quarter. A 9 - 11 quarter.
QUARTER 3: 23 - 49
Coach Fletcher made changes for the start of the second half. Maddi Hay comes onto GK and Goninon to WA with Vinen and Miller having a well earned rest. Hay makes an impact with an early intercept and Collyer continues to contest hard. A run of 4 goals rewarded the hard work. Lenthall comes back into the game at WD with Marshall rolling off for a quick drink before coming back onto C. Probert-Hill took a knee to the mid riff from Marshall which bought her to her knees but after a quick break on the sidelines was back into the action. A 9-20 quarter.
QUARTER 4: 26-77
Earney starts the quarter at GA in place of Turner with Pullen remaining at GS. A number of changes throughout the quarter couldn't quite get the momentum going and we were overrun in the end by a top 4 team. A 3-28 quarter.
We re-group and go again Saturday against the Darters at 1:00pm as we cross over into finals.
