Updating your Accreditation

Gaining your National Coaching Accreditation can help support you to deliver a great netball experience for all players and gain the resources you need to feel confident in your delivery.

To maintain their accreditation, coaches are required to complete a series of tasks over a four-year period.

Coaches need to reach a certain number of points to maintain their accreditation at the relevant level. Points can be accumulated by completing online and face to face activities through Netball Learning.

Updating Requirements

To obtain a current Foundation accreditation you need to accumulate 20 points

Active Practical Coaching (mandatory requirement) 	10 Points = 1 Point per hour 

Complete the Rules of Netball Theory Exam- 70% or above (mandatory requirement) 	 
Netball Australia Safeguarding Children and Young People (mandatory requirement) 	 
Attend Member Organisation Approved coaching workshop
Attend Member Organisation Approved coaching conference	
Complete a Netball Australia online education course (non-accredited) 	 
Complete Netball Australia Online Foundation Coach Course 

Updating Requirements

To obtain a current Development accreditation you need to accumulate 40 points

Active Practical Coaching (mandatory requirement) 	20 Points = 1 Point per hour 
Complete the Rules of Netball Theory Exam- 70% or above (mandatory requirement) 	
Netball Australia Safeguarding Children and Young People (mandatory requirement) 	 
Attend Member Organisation Approved coaching workshop	
Attend Member Organisation Approved coaching conference	
Complete a Netball Australia online education course (non-accredited) 	 
Complete Netball Australia online education course 	

Updating Requirements	

To obtain a current Intermediate accreditation you need to accumulate 60 points

Active Practical Coaching Practical (mandatory requirement) 	40 Points = 1 Point per hour 
Complete the Rules of Netball Theory Exam- 70% or above (mandatory requirement) 	 
Netball Australia Safeguarding Children and Young People (mandatory requirement) 	 
Attend Member Organisation Approved coaching workshop	
Attend Member Organisation Approved coaching conference	
Complete a Netball Australia online education course (non-accredited) 	 
Complete Netball Australia online education course 	
Facilitate an approved NA/MO Course/Workshop	

Updating Requirements	

To obtain a current Advanced accreditation you need to accumulate 80 points

Active Practical Coaching (mandatory requirement) 	50 Points = 1 Point per hour 
Complete the Rules of Netball Theory Exam- 70% or above (mandatory requirement)  
Netball Australia Safeguarding Children and Young People (mandatory requirement)  
Attend Member Organisation Approved coaching workshop	
Attend Member Organisation Approved coaching conference	
Complete a Netball Australia online education course (non-accredited)

Mentor Coaching	
Facilitate an approved NA/MO Course/Workshop	

Updating Requirements	

To obtain a current Elite accreditation you need to accumulate 100 points

Active Practical Coaching (mandatory requirement) 70 Points =1 Point per hour

To obtain a current High Performance accreditation you need to accumulate 120 points
