Round 5 was TNL's 4th annual Pride Round, and our closest round yet. There were close match ups across the board with 4 matches being decided by less than 10 goals.
We acknowledge the importance of hosting Pride rounds as sporting codes, to continue to demonstrate our openness to diversity within our communities. We are grateful to continue to work with Tasmanian organisation, Working It Out and are appreciative of their commitment to continuing to educate our players, officials, umpires and community. Working It Out Inc are working to create change through lived-experience based education, support and advocacy which enables LGBTIQ+ Tasmanians to live their best lives. Our 4th Pride Round was a great success, we look forward to it begin back even bigger and better next year. In the meantime, Netball Tasmania will continue to work with Working It Out to further educate our community.
