Round 4 delivered a series of commanding performances across both the Opens and 19U divisions, with several teams making strong statements as the season gathers momentum.
In Devon’s second home game of the weekend, Cavaliers Opens produced a polished performance to defeat Devon 62–40. After a competitive opening, the Cavs found their rhythm and steadily built their advantage, combining disciplined defence with efficient scoring to secure a 22-point win.
Cripps Waratah delivered a defensive masterclass in their 38–13 victory against South East Suns. Cripps controlled the tempo from the outset, restricting scoring opportunities and capitalising at the offensive end in a dominant display.
Kingston Blues recorded the most emphatic win of the round in the Speak Up Stay ChatTY Shield, defeating Karana Flames 70–34. Kingston’s attacking flow and relentless pressure proved too much for the Flames, with the Blues more than doubling their opponent’s score in a powerful statement performance. This now marks the 9th year in a row that the Kingston Blues have taken out the shield, an incredible and consistent achievement. Congratulations to the MVP of the match, Mackenzie Graves.
In the 19U’s, Devon secured a 54–38 win over the Cavaliers and Cripps Waratah were dominant in their clash with South East Suns, powering to an 80–13 win.
The Kingston Blues capped off the round with a commanding 63–31 win over Karana Flames. Kingston’s composure and balanced scoring ensured they remained in control from start to finish.
