Round 3 delivered a series of strong performances across the 19U division, with several teams asserting themselves in convincing fashion.
At Hobart Netball and Sports Centre, the 19U Karana Flames were in dominant form, defeating 19U South East Suns 54–25.
Over at Kingborough Sports Centre, Kingston Blues 19&U battled hard but were outpaced by Cripps Waratah U19's, who claimed a 48–34 win. Cripps built momentum through the middle quarters, capitalising on turnovers and maintaining composure to close out the match comfortably.
At their first home game in Ulverstone, 19U Devon delivered one of the most commanding performances of the round, defeating Hawks U19 Women 50–24. Devon’s defensive unit set the tone early, creating repeated scoring opportunities and keeping the Hawks on the back foot throughout the contest.
Round 3 in the Opens division produced a mix of commanding wins and tightly contested battles as teams continued to establish their early-season form.
At Hobart Netball and Sports Centre, South East Suns delivered a statement performance, defeating the Karana Flames 62–39. The Suns controlled the tempo from the first centre pass, moving the ball with precision through the midcourt and finishing accurately in the circle to secure a decisive 23-goal win.
Congratulations to South East Suns, Maddi Hay for taking out the MVP of round 3 for her ability to control the defensive end and take intercepts exactly when the team needs them.
Over at Kingborough Sports Centre, Kingston Blues Opens edged out Cripps Waratah in a tightly fought contest, 38–34. The Blues held their composure in the closing stages, capitalising on key turnovers and maintaining scoreboard pressure to claim a hard-earned four-goal victory.
In Ulverstone, the Northern Hawks were impressive in their 51–27 win over Devon.
With several strong performances across the board, both the 19U and Opens competitions are beginning to take shape as teams look to build momentum heading deeper into the season.
