It was a big day of netball across Tasmania, with matches played in both the 19U and Opens divisions from the North-West to Hobart.
In the 19U competition, Devon had the standout result of the round, putting 67 goals past the Karana Flames at Ulverstone Sports & Leisure Centre to win by 40. It was a dominant home performance, with Devon's attack relentless from the first whistle. Cripps Waratah were equally impressive away from home, travelling to the South East Sports Complex to defeat the South East Suns 60–33, a 27-goal margin that reflected their control of the game throughout. The Cavaliers rounded out the 19U round with a 54–30 win over the Kingston Blues at the NTNA Hub in Launceston, a 24-goal victory built on solid defence and a sharp forward line.
The Opens division played out at the same venues later in the afternoon, and the same three clubs took home the wins. Devon were again the most convincing, putting on a 70–29 performance against the Karana Flames, 41 goals the difference in another statement result on the North-West Coast. The Cavaliers continued their strong form with a 64–38 win over Kingston Blues in Launceston. The tightest match of the Opens round was at the South East Sports Complex, where Cripps Waratah got past the South East Suns 33–22, an 11-goal margin that, while not as emphatic as the day's other results, still showed Cripps' ability to get the job done.
The Northern Hawks had the bye in both divisions, meaning they'll return fresh in Round 13 while Cripps, the Cavaliers, and Devon will be spurred on by a clean sweep across both competitions.
