After a strong showing in 2025, Devon’s 19&U netball team is shaping up for another compelling TNL campaign in 2026. With a blend of seasoned athletes and energetic newcomers, the squad aims to turn experience into results as they step onto the court in a few weeks' time.
Nine athletes from last year’s lineup return to the fold, offering continuity and composure that’s already reflected in the group’s pre-season preparations. They are joined by three new recruits, adding fresh energy and a competitive edge across all areas of the court.
Defensively, Devon looks well-equipped to challenge some of the competition’s best. Jana Snell, Courtney Brown, Alexis Donovan and Tanner Hodgetts headline a defense end known for its aerial ability, quick recovery speed and pressure-oriented approach. Their collective strength should help set the tone early in matches and influence momentum in critical moments.
In the midcourt, Devon’s engine room features established performers Harriet Close, Asha Mannie and Amarli Palmer, players who combine tactical awareness with transition intensity. The recent addition of Olivia Wyllie is expected to further enhance the team’s ability to move the ball swiftly from defense into attack, with her pace and athleticism adding another dimension to Devon’s game plan.
At the attacking end, a versatile shooting line up offers depth and adaptability. New talent Isobelle Abel brings a blend of speed and shooting precision, complementing the proven capabilities of Shukuya Broomhall, Ava Palmer and Madeleine Walker, each of whom made significant contributions in 2025.
Devon's mindset is clear: compete hard, execute well, and continue building a performance culture that supports sustained success. Anchored by a strong work ethic and the pride of its coastal identity, the Devon 19&U team is gearing up to deliver a season that will excite supporters and potentially upset expectations across the league.
As the new TNL season approaches, all eyes will be on how this balanced and determined squad performs when the whistle blows. Devon supporters can be confident: this side has both the talent and the resolve to make its mark in 2026.
