Netball Tasmania is tonight hosting a ceremony to formally welcome our 2021 and 2022 Inductees to the Tasmanian Netball Hall of Fame. Netball Tasmania Media and Events Manager Kirstin Palfrey said she is thrilled to have the event back on the calendar to recognise such worthy contributions to Netball.
‘It’s always an exciting time when we’re able to honour some of the most iconic individuals and teams who have given so generously to our sport in Tasmania’.
‘To be able to celebrate the 2021 and 2022 inductees together in a larger scale public event in the presence of family and friends is something that we’re proud to be able to offer after a hiatus from the Hall of Fame ceremony. This is a wonderful and well deserving group of athletes, officials, volunteers and teams, who we’re really looking forward to formally welcoming into their place in Tasmanian Netball history.
'This event is made even more special with each of the inductees able to attend in person to accept the honour. Inaugural inductees in Jon Fletcher, Judy Headlam, Marj Kerslake and Fiona Geappen will all be present to help welcome the most recent members to the Hall of Fame in what is a really lovely show of support.'
