Inclusion ANZ NetSetGO introduces young Australians to the sport of netball and encourages the participation of individuals from Indigenous and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities. The Netball Australia initiative also caters for individuals living with a disability.
Inclusion ANZ NetSetGO allows children the opportunity to practice key netball development skills in a safe environment with their friends. Karadi Aboriginal Corporation’s participation highlights their drive to deliver resources, education and support to Aboriginal communities in an accessible and equitable manner.
Karadi Aboriginal Corporation Youth & Family Support Worker Mark Watterson looks forward adding the Inclusion ANZ NetSetGO program to their resources and seeing the results, “Karadi is excited to be a part of the ANZ NetSetGO program as it provides Aboriginal children the opportunity to participate in a fun team-based sport with their friends, whilst building confidence and self-esteem.”
Inclusion ANZ NetSetGO is offered in two formats: an 8-10 week program or a 4 week clinic. Participating schools and community-based organisations are provided access to ANZ NetSetGO resources, which includes session plans and a coordinator manual. Signing up to the program as opposed to the clinic qualifies your centre for a free Inclusion ANZ NetSetGO Equipment Kit or Ball Kit.
To be eligible, schools and community-based organisations will need to provide proof of Public Liability Insurance. Netball Associations may also apply to Inclusion ANZ NetSetGO. If your school or community group has the potential to reach Indigenous and CALD communities or individuals with a disability, Netball Australia may be able to deliver this program for free.
