Cripps Waratah were crowned the 2014 ANZ State League champions after a 46 to 38 defeat of minor premiers Lexus Arrows. Cripps lead at every break coming away as victors by eight points. It was their fourth Grand Final appearance in as many years and they were able to put the heart break of three consecutive Grand Final losses to win their first premiership since 2008. It was also the first premiership awarded under the leagues new branding as the ANZ State Netball League an exciting and beneficial partnership for the sport in Tasmania and continues on with ANZ being a key partner and supporter of netball across all levels in Australia.

Cripps Waratah player AJ Gough was awarded player of the match with her defensive work along with that of Cripps co-captain Kirra Parsons instrumental in ensuring her side came away the victors.
In the evenings earlier match Country Club Cavaliers defeated Cripps Waratah in the battle for the 19 and under ANZ State League title winning 46 to 31 in a dominant display from the years preeminent side.
Cavaliers player Dana Lester was judged the player of the match for the Grand Final.

The ANZ State Netball League Grand Final’s attracted over 1100 supporters to Aurora Stadium to watch the states premier netball competition show piece games and all would not have been disappointed with the quality of the games on display.
