Please be advised that as at Dec 1 2020, the Director of Health has implemented a Framework for Covid-19 Safe Events and Activities in Tasmania. For the purposes of planning for competitions in 2021, Associations should be working under these guidelines until advised otherwise (there is no further review date yet determined).
Under the framework, which is applicable to all public events and activities, there are three levels of events which can be summarised as follows

It should be noted that these figures are only applicable whereby (in summary);
- The floor space allows for applicable social distancing. This may be calculated by dividing the total square meterage (floor space) by 2. If the number calculated is less than the limits in the above table, the lower number (as calculated) will apply;
- There is a Covid Safety Plan in place – please refer to Netball Tasmania’s Covid-19 Management Plans;
- Any other Public Health guidelines or Directions are implemented and managed.
Netball Associations have, throughout the latter stages of 2020, been working under the conditions of Level 1 – Free Moving and Mixing, noting that the indoor limit is specific to each separated space (by permanent walls) within the facility.
For the vast majority of competitions, Level 1 – Free Moving and Mixing limits will likely remain the applicable standard moving forward. Should an Association wish to apply the standards for Level 2 or Level 3, an event specific Safety Plan must be submitted to Business Tasmania for assessment before approval can be granted. Netball Tasmania recommends that any Association wishing to submit plans for Assessment to be approved to run a Level 2 or Level 3 event make contact with Netball Tasmania to discuss and seek support prior to making an application.

- SSN Matches and Practice Matches
- 17&U and 19&U National Championships
