Hobart Woolworths NetSetGo

Netball Tasmania are seeking Expressions of Interest for a new concept that would see a Hobart Woolworths NetSetGo centralised program run by multiple clubs working together to deliver a cohesive Woolworths NetSetGo program. Please read through the following FAQ's carefully. If this program is of interest to your club, please fill out the expression of interest at the bottom of this page.

FAQ's

1. What is the purpose of a combined WWNSG program?

The combined program is designed to deliver a consistent, high-quality introduction to netball across Hobart by reducing the burden on individual clubs and increasing accessibility for young participants. It allows clubs to collaborate while the association leads delivery, logistics, and administration.

2. How does this benefit our club?

Reduced administrative and volunteer pressure
Increased visibility and reach through a centralised, well-promoted program
Opportunity to connect with new families and direct participants into your club's Under 9s and junior teams
Shared resources, knowledge, and delivery responsibilities


3. Will our club lose players by not running our own WWNSG?

No. In fact, clubs may benefit by being part of a larger, better-resourced initiative. Children will still be encouraged to affiliate with a local club for their future netball journey, and participating clubs will be actively promoted during and after the program.

4. Who runs the sessions?

The sessions are delivered by trained coaches and volunteers coordinated by the association.

Each club will have a 1-2 sessions where they will be the WWNSG Delivery Lead, clubs can will nominate volunteers to assist/ coach a skills sessions, ensuring all clubs affiliated are represented at each session.

5. What commitment is expected from clubs?

Clubs are asked to:

Promote the program to their networks
Optionally provide volunteers or coaches
Help welcome new families and guide them into future club programs (e.g., Under 9s)


6. Will our club’s identity be recognised?

Yes. Participating clubs will be acknowledged in promotional material and at sessions. There will be opportunities for clubs to connect with families and promote their junior offerings.

7. How are costs covered?

The association manages registration fees and oversees budget and delivery. There is no direct financial burden on clubs.

8. Where will the sessions be held?

Hobart Netball and Sports Centre the home of Hobart WWNSG.

9. What happens after the program ends?

Participants will be encouraged to continue their netball journey through club-based Under 9s programs. The association will support this transition and provide clubs with contact lists (in line with privacy permissions).
