Netball Tasmania will offer opportunities for coaches to progress through the Netball Australia’s Coach Accreditation Pathway, conducting courses and workshops at each level of the six-tier structure.

Foundation Coach Accreditation Course

The online Foundation Coach Accreditation Course is targeted primarily at beginner coaches, teachers, parents and NetSetGo coaches and outlines introductory coaching information and basic netball techniques. The course is the first step in the national coaching accreditation framework and is an important step along the knowledge pathway for a coach.

The course contains the following four modules:
•	The role of the coach
•	Planning
•	Teaching netball skills
•	The coach in action

Foundation Coach Online Course: 
Duration: There is no time limit on completing the course. You can learn in a self-paced environment and can log in and log out as required. But you must complete the course within a year of enrolling, or it will expire.
Cost: $75.00 (plus transaction fees)
Rules of Netball Exam: 
The Rules of Netball Exam must be completed for the Foundation Coach Accreditation to be awarded. 
Pass mark of 70% or higher
Duration: 120 minutes
Cost: $13.00
Resources: Coaches can purchase the Foundation Coaching Manual for $70.00 (including P+H) from Netball Learning. 

The blended learning (online and practical workshop) Development Coach Accreditation Course is targeted primarily at Club, Association and Regional coaches and teachers aiming to further their netball knowledge. The Course is the second step in the national coaching accreditation framework and provides a good introduction to skill progression and fault detection and correction.

Duration: Online Course – There is no time limit on completing the course. You can learn in a self-paced environment and can log in and log out as required. But you must complete the course within a year of enrolling, or it will expire.
Current Rules of Netball Theory Exam – Time limit of 120 minutes and a grade of 70% or higher
Practical Workshop – This will be organised through Netball TAS, you will need to enrol in this workshop through netball learning, this practical workshop is a mixture of theory and practical training and is 4.5 hours.

Pre-Requisites 
•	Current Foundation Coach Accreditation

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge of coaches who are coaching at Association Representative, Regional or Talent Academy level. The course is an excellent introduction into the practical component of the Advanced Coaching Course.
Duration: 7- 8 hours Face to Face Course

Pre-Requisites 
•	Current Development Coach Accreditation.
•	Must hold a development coach accreditation for minimum one year.
•	Coaches participating in the intermediate coaching course, must provide two athletes to comply with the practical assessment. Players need to be available in the afternoon of the coaching workshop and be a minimum of 14 years old. Failure to provide two players for the practical assessment will disqualify the coach from being able to undertake the Assessment component of the course and would be ineligible to complete the accreditation. 
•	Current Rules of Netball Theory Exam pass (70% or above)  

The Advanced Coaching Course is designed for coaches wanting to further develop their coaching skills to a level recommended for Tasmanian Netball League, Talent Identification and Tasmanian State teams.

Duration: 2 days, 2 x3- hour online sessions, 2 mentored coaching sessions and 1 final assessment
Cost: $375.00

Pre-Requisites 
•	Current Intermediate Coach Accreditation
•	Must hold an intermediate coach accreditation for minimum one year.
•	Coaches must have had at least one year/ season coaching experience after completion of an intermediate coach accreditation and 2 years coaching at a minimum level of representative U/15. 
•	Two session plans assessed as a competent by a mentor, using the seven-step progression
•	Current Rules of Netball Theory Exam pass (70% or above)  

The Elite Course is designed for coaches at Tasmanian Netball League, Tasmanian State Teams, Suncorp Super Netball Reserves and Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) 
 
Duration: 8-hour Face to Face Course (Elite Strategies Day) with additional theory components via correspondence and one final assessment

Pre-Requisites 
•	Advanced Coach Accreditation
•	Must hold an Advanced coach accreditation for minimum one year.
•	One year coaching at a minimum level of Regional or State League level (for candidates wishing to complete Accreditation. Participants may attend the Elite Coaching Strategies course without this pre-requisite)
•	Current Rules of Netball Theory Exam pass (70% or above)

The High-Performance Coaching course is conducted by Netball Australia for coaches wanting to reach the pinnacle of coaching. This course has BEEN MODIFIED to reflect the changing requirements of coaching in the High-Performance environment. Targeted at coaches at Suncorp Netball Reserves and Suncorp Super Netball (SSN).

Pre-Requisites 
•	Advanced Coach Accreditation (as approved by NA)
•	Elite Coaching Strategies module
•	Have coached (as a head coach) for a minimum of three out of the last five years at one the following levels: 
Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) 
State/Territory team – U/17, U/19 State Institute or Academy Program 
State league – top division in the state. 
•	NB Coaches who are successful in being accepted into the HPCA must be coaching during the duration of the course at one of the following levels:
Australian Netball Championships (ANC)
State League – top division in the state 
SIS/ SAS Program 
•	Current Rules of Netball Theory Exam pass (70% or above)
